Agreement

These Terms of Service govern the use of Ridgeline.

By creating a Ridgeline account, accepting these Terms, or using account-based Ridgeline features, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or continue using account-based features.

Some parts of Ridgeline may be available without an account.

Certain Satellites may have their own terms, policies, or requirements. Where applicable, those terms also govern use of that Satellite.

Ridgeline is operated by StrataBytes.

Definitions

For these Terms:

• Ridgeline means the Ridgeline website, account system, Inventory, settings, and other services operated as part of the Ridgeline platform.
• Account means a Ridgeline user account and the identity associated with it.
• Satellite means a distinct application, service, tool, media experience, experiment, or other experience connected to Ridgeline.
• Services means Ridgeline and the features provided through it, excluding a Satellite where the context refers to that Satellite as a separate service.

These definitions distinguish Ridgeline itself from the Satellites connected to it.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your Ridgeline account and for activity performed through your account.

Ridgeline currently uses email-based authentication. Account information should be accurate and reasonably current where it affects account access or operation.

Accounts may not be created or used to impersonate another person, evade restrictions, interfere with enforcement actions, or abuse Ridgeline or connected services.

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Ridgeline account and must satisfy any higher age or consent requirement that applies where you live.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, Ridgeline should only be used with the permission of a parent or legal guardian where required.

Ridgeline is not intended for children under 13. If Ridgeline becomes aware that an account belongs to a child who is not permitted to use the service under applicable law, the account may be disabled and associated personal information may be removed as appropriate.

Ridgeline services

Ridgeline provides a central place for discovering, accessing, and managing connected experiences.

Features may include account management, Satellite discovery, Inventory, access state, settings, and other platform functionality introduced over time.

Ridgeline may add, change, restrict, remove, or discontinue features as the platform develops.

Not every feature, Satellite, or service shown through Ridgeline is necessarily available to every user or available at all times.

Satellites

Satellites are distinct experiences connected to Ridgeline.

A Satellite may have its own functionality, identity, account requirements, data practices, acceptable-use rules, or Terms of Service.

Where Satellite-specific terms apply, they govern use of that Satellite in addition to these Terms. If Satellite-specific terms directly conflict with these Terms regarding operation of that Satellite, the Satellite-specific terms control for that Satellite unless otherwise stated.

Access to a Satellite through Ridgeline does not guarantee continued availability.

A Satellite may be active, unavailable, restricted, discontinued, or still in development.

Acceptable use

Ridgeline may not be used to:

• violate applicable law;
• harm, threaten, harass, or exploit another person;
• gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or Satellites;
• bypass security measures, access controls, account restrictions, or technical limitations;
• intentionally interfere with or disrupt Ridgeline or connected services;
• distribute malware or conduct malicious technical activity;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent authorization to access an account or service;
• use automated systems in a manner that materially disrupts or burdens Ridgeline; or
• otherwise threaten the security, integrity, or availability of Ridgeline or its connected services.

Security research is not considered authorized unless permission has been granted in advance.

Content and intellectual property

Ridgeline and its original software, design, branding, artwork, written material, and other platform content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Use of Ridgeline does not transfer ownership of Ridgeline or its intellectual property.

Unless separate terms state otherwise, you retain ownership of content that you create and own.

Ridgeline does not claim ownership of content merely because it is created, stored, or accessed through a connected Satellite.

Individual Satellites may have separate rules governing content created or stored within them. Applicable Satellite terms should be reviewed before using those services.

Availability and changes

Ridgeline is an evolving service.

Ridgeline or a Ridgeline-operated Satellite may be modified, suspended, restricted, replaced, or discontinued at any time.

Reasonable efforts may be made to maintain availability, but continuous or uninterrupted service is not guaranteed.

Features described as planned, experimental, preview, beta, coming soon, or similar may change substantially or may never be released.

Nothing published on Ridgeline constitutes a guaranteed release date unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Account suspension and deletion

A Ridgeline account may be deleted through the available account settings.

Deleting a Ridgeline account may remove or affect access to services that rely on Ridgeline identity or entitlement information. Data maintained independently by a Satellite may be subject to separate deletion procedures.

An account may be restricted, suspended, or disabled when reasonably necessary to:

• enforce these Terms;
• protect Ridgeline, its users, or connected systems;
• respond to suspected fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access; or
• comply with applicable legal requirements.

Where appropriate, clarification regarding an account restriction or suspension may be requested through the contact method provided by Ridgeline.

Privacy

Use of Ridgeline is also subject to the Ridgeline Privacy Policy.

Individual Satellites may have their own privacy notices or data practices where they operate independently from Ridgeline.

Applicable privacy information should be reviewed before using a Satellite that handles information separately from Ridgeline.

No warranties

To the extent permitted by law, Ridgeline is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Ridgeline does not guarantee that the platform or any Satellite will always be available, error-free, secure from every possible threat, or suitable for every particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ridgeline, StrataBytes, and their operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of or inability to use Ridgeline.

This may include, where permitted by law, losses resulting from service interruptions, loss of access, loss of data, or reliance on information provided through Ridgeline.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Third-party services

Ridgeline or a Satellite may link to or interact with services operated by third parties.

Ridgeline does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices.

Use of a third-party service may be governed by that service's own terms and policies.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as Ridgeline develops.

When changes are made, the version number and effective date will be updated. Material changes may require review and acceptance before continued use of account-based features.

Continued use of Ridgeline after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

If revised Terms are not accepted, use of Ridgeline may be discontinued and the associated account may be deleted.

Governing law

These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction from which Ridgeline is legally operated, subject to any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Specific governing-law and dispute provisions may be added as Ridgeline's legal operating jurisdiction is finalized.
